This winter we have had the pleasure of working with several great brides and their families to plan beautiful winter weddings. The color palette of white, ivory, cream, and gold are classic winter colors. We were able to work with these colors to produce some pretty stunning floral arrangements.
Our first wedding pictured was a New Years Eve wedding. Our bride carried a beautiful cascading bouquet that was made of perfectly blooming creamy white garden roses (which smelled amazing!) The roses were combined with smaller white spray roses, gold tipped winter pine greens, and seeded eucalyptus.
The bridesmaids carried bouquets that coordinated in style and color. Pictured are their slightly cascading bouquets of white standard roses, gold hypericum berries, and winter pine greens.
There was 1 junior bridesmaid and she carried a bouquet very similar to the bridesmaids’ with white roses and spray roses.
As the clock struck midnight, the bride and groom danced into the new year and their new life together as Mr. & Mrs. These classic white flowers were a perfect wintry touch to an already special day.
Our first wedding of 2017 was another beautiful winter wedding that utilized the same color palette for an upscale winter wonderland look.
We provided 3 different styles of centerpieces for the guest tables. The first was an arrangement designed in gold lanterns, the second was a low-to-the-table arrangement in gold mercury glass pedestal bowls, and the third was an up-in-the-air arrangement that created a stunning impression as you entered the ballroom.

We also provided an arrangement to go atop the ice vase sculpture created by Mastro Ice. Mike and his team created a vase shaped sculpture and our flowers completed the look. The sculpture was the centerpiece for the grand foyer outside of the ballroom. It was placed on the table that held the many wedding cookies (a Pittsburgh tradition.)
Another yummy treat at this wedding was the cake! We also provided flowers that adorned the cake stand and the top tier of the cake itself.
As the guests entered the grand ballroom corridor they were met by the place card table which was covered in a gold damask pattern table linen. We used one of the gold lanterns to create an arrangement that followed through with the theme. The place cards were lined in straight rows with romantic votive candles in between and the lantern arrangement in the center of the table.
Only a week into 2017, this bride and groom started off their year on a great note. To both of these families, we wish a happy and prosperous new year and life together. We are glad we were able to be a part of their big days.
At Parkway Florist we are looking forward to many upcoming weddings this year. There are many beautiful flowers to come, so keep an eye on our blog, or follow us on Facebook & Instagram for more!
