Cascades were back in 2021!

We provided flowers for so many, many weddings in 2021 that we lost track of how popular cascading bouquets had become again!

From tight teardrop cascades, to loose flowing cascades, each one was different, and styled just for that particular wedding. And of course, blush and ivory were still the most popular color choices for many of our brides. And flowing greenery was very easy to incorporate into this style of bouquet.

Pictured below are just some of the cascades we prepared in 2021.

(These pictures will also be available on our website. Just click on the WEDDINGS tab, and then on BOUQUETS).

We hope these pictures provide some inspiration to you!! Enjoy!!

Sara and John – A look Back To 10-19-19

October 19, 2019 was one of the busiest wedding Saturdays of the entire year. Several brides told us that they had booked that date over two years in advance, just to get that date. Sara and John were blissfully unaware of how popular their date was.

The fall day dawned beautifully at the Montour Heights Country Club. An outdoor ceremony, under the trees, was attended by approximately 280 guests.

Sara and her bridesmaids carried lush Bouquets of coral peonies, peach garden roses, light blue delphinium and assorted greens.

The reception followed in the Montour Heights Ballroom. Alternating high and low centerpieces were displayed thru out the room. The centerpieces also carried thru the coral, peach and light blue  colors.

Probably the high point for everyone at this wedding was seeing Sara and John’s dogs, and her Dad’s red Morgan, which was used as a backdrop for bridal pictures.  (And we got to make flower necklaces for the puppies!)

And Finally,
Sara’s note to us in December said: “Cheryl, we just got our pictures back from the wedding and the flowers looked absolutely INCREDIBLE!”

We love hearing that our brides were pleased.

Congratulations again to Sara and John. Thank you again for choosing Parkway Florist,  and hugs to the big puppies!!

2018 – “The Hurrier We Go…”

“Sometimes, the Hurrier we go, the Behinder we get!”  That’s a quote from my beloved Grandma.  Today, it seems somehow fitting.

Since the spring wedding season took off at a full-blown gallop in April, we have been so busy producing flowers and taking care of events that we’ve become very behind in posting some of recent bouquets.

Here are some beauties that needed sharing:

Big, Textured & Beautiful!

Julie had a vision for her wedding that we enjoyed fulfilling.

Her request for her bouquet was for it to be “lush” & full, with lots of texture.

Julie’s bouquet, pictured above (left),  included Garden Roses, White Peonies, Light Pink Spray Roses, Queen Anne’s Lace, Lisianthus, Soft Astilbie & lots of flowing greens. The bouquet complimented her light ivory lace dress very nicely.

The Bridesmaids’ bouquets were similar in the textures used in the Bridal bouquet, but on a smaller scale.

Using lots of texture & greenery is a trend that we are seeing often this year. We hope you like what we created for Julie!
