Featured Weddings 2021 – Karen & Travis

This post is dedicated to one of the many spectacular weddings we serviced last year. Karen & Travis celebrated their love on September 5th, 2021 at The Pennsylvanian, a high end venue located in downtown Pittsburgh. The couple’s choice to have white, monochromatic flowers for their bouquets and arrangements added a breath of fresh air to every part of their celebration.

A revitalized piece of Pittsburgh’s once bustling Penn station, The Pennsylvanian is a venue known for it’s unmatched elegance and historic charm. Karen and Travis were married outside in The Rotunda, a breathtaking outdoor space with magnificent terra-cotta archways and ornate designs carved into the stone.

Our wedding couple chose to get married in front of a triangular arch, decorated with a sweeping spray of white flowers. The ceremonial space was tied together with two more arrangements at the entrance to the seating area, also bursting with white blooms, as well as simple greens tied to the ends of the isle chairs.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests made their way into The Pennsylvanian’s Grand Hall, a space that unquestionably lives up to it’s name. We provided luxurious centerpieces set atop our gold Harlow stands, which drew the eye upward, and complemented the aesthetic of the hall. The effect of the white flowers against the white and gold decorations was breathtaking, and made the hall come to life.

More all-white arrangements peppered the indoor reception. We used every prop and flowers that was delivered, including placing the triangular arch behind the newlywed’s sweetheart table!

Karen and Travis, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding celebration. We were honored to be able to play a small part in such a breathtaking event!

Rounds & Loose Rounds 2021 — More of Our Favorite Bouquets

Our ever popular round bouquets continued the blush and ivory color trend. But as you can see, we prepared bouquets in lavender, purple, peach, maroon, golden sunflower also.

These pictures and many more can also be found on our website. Click on the WEDDING tab and then on BOUQUETS from our website.

We hope these provide some inspiration for you. Every bride’s vision of her wedding flowers is different. Our task is to help make that vision come to life ! While some of our fellow florists use lots & lots & lots of greenery, we aim to scale the bridal bouquet to the size of our bride and the look of her dress. Yes, we do use greens, as you can see from these photos. However, our greens are used in a more controlled fashion.

Enjoy!

Cascades were back in 2021!

We provided flowers for so many, many weddings in 2021 that we lost track of how popular cascading bouquets had become again!

From tight teardrop cascades, to loose flowing cascades, each one was different, and styled just for that particular wedding. And of course, blush and ivory were still the most popular color choices for many of our brides. And flowing greenery was very easy to incorporate into this style of bouquet.

Pictured below are just some of the cascades we prepared in 2021.

(These pictures will also be available on our website. Just click on the WEDDINGS tab, and then on BOUQUETS).

We hope these pictures provide some inspiration to you!! Enjoy!!

Arches & Ceremony Decor – 2021

We love the way ceremony arches add a personal, romantic touch to any wedding celebration. In 2021, we are proud to say we set up some of our favorite arches and ceremony decor of all time! Check out our pictures below to see some examples of what is available for your future ceremony.

A timeless classic for true romantics, here is a pipe & drape altar we set up at the George Washington Hotel in Washington, Pennsylvania.

One of our favorite venues is the outdoor garden at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. Our classic pipe and drape gave the garden an elegant and luxurious feel, while our hexagon arch added a unique and whimsical touch.

The geometric trend continued with our circular “moon” arch and triangular arch accented with flowing sprays of white flowers.

The height of the summer had us bursting with color at some truly spectacular outdoor ceremonies. We especially loved the ones shown here showcasing stargazer lilies, peach roses, and sunflowers. We traveled to many places in 2021. Shown here are set-ups at Oglebay, WV, the Barn at Madison and the front area of the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott (when we turned the front Portoco area into a stunning wedding ceremony site!)

2021 was an amazing year for flowers. We are grateful for the opportunity to add vibrancy to such an intimate piece of our many clients wedding ceremonies. We really do strive to make dreams come true!!

Shannon & Anthony — 11.5.2021

This beautiful wedding was over a year in the planning. The friends and family members that needed to be involved made the wedding party grow like Toppsy to 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen!

While November weather can be a bit iffy, Shannon and Anthony were very lucky, and had a beautiful fall day. Shannon carried a very large cascading bouquet, which included protea. The bridesmaids carried smaller loose bouquets in jewel toned colors.

Duquesne University Chapel was the location for the ceremony – Anthony’s alma mater.

After a full Catholic mass, everyone proceeded to the Double Tree Hotel in Greentree for a great night of food, dancing, and fun with family and friends in the grand ballroom. The dance floor was packed all night.

Wow – what a wonderful night!! Shannon & Anthony, we hope we made your dreams come true. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of this most special day!
