3-20-21 The First Day of Spring!

Two new beginnings happened today.

Katie and Shane were one of our first couples in 2020 that were forced to postpone their wedding. The wait was worth it! A beautiful wedding took place at the South Hills Country Club on the first day of spring. The club was totally bathed in lots and lots of romantic candlelight and pops of color from the flowers.

Shown here are some pictures of the ceremony,(in front of the fireplace) as well as bride & bridesmaids bouquets and two style of centerpieces. Deep burgundy flowers with pops of pink and peach was our bride’s request. We think we achieved her wishes.

Our second wedding on the first day of Spring took us south of the city, to Washington County. Jennifer and Justin held their wedding ceremony and reception at the very stately George Washington Hotel in Washington, PA. Jennifer’s beautiful ball gown was accented with a white rose and delphinium cascade. Her bridesmaids, in light sky blue gowns, carried handtied bouquets with Hydrangea, pink & lavender roses, blue delphinium and purple lisanthsis.

Tall pipe and drape provided an elegant back drop for the ceremony. The spring flowers used in the ceremony were then transferred up to the reception ballroom. Both high and low centerpieces were used in the reception ballroom.

We wish both Katie and Shane and Justin and Jennifer nothing but happiness from this day forward. Thank you for allowing Parkway Florist to be a part of your best day ever!
