Our 2018 wedding season has officially started! On March 2, we made a trip to Butcher and the Rye Restaurant, located in the heart of the Cultural District, in Downtown Pittsburgh. Butcher and the Rye boasts a large selection of Rye whiskey, modern American cuisine, and a rustic chic atmosphere. The restaurant was closed to the public on Friday, in order to host this wedding reception. We decorated the entire space with stylish garlands and stunning florals.
A large floral centerpiece was featured on the main floor of the restaurant. The elevated centerpiece was accented by glass cylinders with floating candles, and a floral garland woven across the table. The almost two story tall mirror behind the table added dimension and amplified the look of the flowers in the romantic candle light.
The statement centerpiece featured snap dragons, ivory and blush roses, white lilies, larkspur, curly willow, and generous greens.
Railings leading to the second floor, and well as on the second floor, were dressed with lush green garlands, accented with hydrangeas and blush and ivory roses.
The actual wedding ceremony took place earlier in the day, in Judge’s chambers in the Allegheny County Courthouse, downtown. Allyson carried a lavish bouquet of hydrangeas, roses, freesia, and peonies — many of her favorite flowers — for a feminine and soft look. Nate, our Groom, wore a classic white rose with freesia boutonniere.
The first wedding in our busy wedding season has opened the doors of possibilities for new and unique venues. We are looking forward to all of the exciting and extraordinary weddings and special events that we have ahead of us in 2018. We love weddings!!
